Roxas had been hanging out on the beach again, this time fully equipped with sunblock. While no longer quite as painful and lobster red as he'd been a few days ago in the compound, he wasn't taking any chances. Even with the risk of sunburn though, he couldn't resist the beach. It must have been the Sora-ness in him that made him always feel happy here. He'd even wrestled a pair of board shorts out of the clothesbox that fit, though it still insisted on giving him nothing but black clothes. Wearing them and his white undershirt, Roxas dropped into a seated position in the sand.
He'd come out with some vague intention of finding Conner again, because he was feeling antsy and Conner's promise of surfing lessons was starting to sound especially good. Unable to go to school until the new semester started, he needed ways to occupy his time, or else sitting around, twiddling his thumbs, and angsting about people from home would just drive him nuts. Of course, the idea had sounded better before he'd considered that he really had no idea where Conner usually was, or how to get in contact with him. He had not thought out the plan terribly well.
Still, there were worse ways for a plan to go wrong and it was another gorgeous day. Roxas peeled off his shirt and stretched his arms above his head, pleased that his muscles still felt more or less in working order. He'd never worked out, but a year of chasing after heartless with a keyblade left him with lean muscle that had had nearly three weeks of relaxation. Time to correct that. He took a moment to settle the bottle of sunblock over his shirt before running forward into the water, diving forward once it was deep enough and lingering under the water as long as his lungs would allow him before resurfacing with a kick. He stood on tiptoes to glance at the beach before pushing forward to slightly shallower water and leaning on his back to float.
